About Me

           

           Hi, I'm Christina and I began Paper Crown Candles in 2017 as a fun way to combine my love of books, candles and all things magical! At that time, I was working a corporate 9-5 job in finance and while I enjoyed the challenges work presented, I felt unfulfilled and began to realize that I desperately needed a creative outlet.

           One night, while chatting with a friend (looking at you Kayla!) we stumbled upon the idea of bookish candles and let me tell you, I fell in LOVE!! I opened an Etsy shop and spent every spare moment over the next few years working on Paper Crown Candles. It was really important to me to do my best to truly capture the essence of each character in the candles I created and as my business grew, I worked late hours, gots LOTS of feedback and slowly perfected my process.

           Earlier this year, I was lucky enough to be able to quit my full-time job and focus exclusively on Paper Crown Candles!! I’m so thrilled to be able to spend my days creating and building connections with all my amazing supporters. I feel so blessed to be doing something I truly love. I have a line of candles and wax melts that I am genuinely proud of and best of all, that I can share with others!!

           Sitting above a simmering pot of melting wax, weighing out different fragrance oils to create unique, one-of-a-kind scents is its own kind of magic and I wouldn’t trade it for anything! When I’m not working, you can usually find me curled up on the couch binge-reading whatever new series I’ve discovered and drinking way too much coffee. I also love spending time doting on my very adorable cat, Bellatrix and attempting to wrangle my sweet, silly Pomsky puppy, Ghoul.
